  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Husqvarna
AA Class
In anticipation of actually making an appearance and hopeful dent in the Vet C class next year in Ontario Canada...I decided I needed a reliable steed that, if I needed parts, could get in the timeframe before events. My little 2010 144 is a beauty but more than a month in on waiting for parts made me realize, also alongside the leering eyes of sound check guys, that I may need to recruit a new steed. Came super close to closing on a 2017 Yammy 250x(ease of parts blah blah blah) but walked into 2 wheel performance plus and received the information I needed to hear from Al Jonker...deposit down and committent to buy....now....how do I break the news to the wife...Wine...WINE they say :)

Sell your other bike an say it was a great deal you swapped it plus 2k the bloke you got the new one off couldn't get to grips with it an really wanted a knackered old one instead blah blah

congrats!!! but......yz250x****************************************! thats the bike right there, of course I'm still on an 09 300 :)

Not to tell you what to do but you might consider a te300... something you can plate. There are a couple blue plated enduros and some good trail rides that require a blue plate. Maximize your use for the bike.

Thanks i found my groove with the xc over enduro. prefwr to stay of asphalt ;) had a blueplated rig before and really.....not worth the insurance ;) see u on rhe circuit chef although ill be in Vet C unles they move me up
