  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Well, going to pick up my 2013 cr125 today! I'm working in Moundsville, WV but there is some MORE heavy weather moving in so they decided to call it. Sooooo I'm driving to Murrysville, Pa to pick it up. Yea, I love it when a plan falls together.
The wife? Well what can I say, I'm her oldest boy. Lol, I'll get out of the dog house eventually. I hope!
Really, she took it pretty good......for a non-dirt biker!

Dave

Congratulations! Is that the last one they had? I was thinking about making them an offer but you need money to do that :(

Mind if I ask how much you paid for it?

Be careful, it's really coming down this morning.

You've picked a good time to buy it. For months they were offering that bike without the 144 kit at a higher price. I think what you're getting now is a great deal!

And def. be careful - took me 80 minutes to get to work today (usually 30 minutes)

Thanks,I will let you know if there are anymore.
I kept watching their ad, and kept checking it hoping that they would sell it. I finally couldn't take it anymore. Dang cafe husky anyway LOL. Called put money on it and there it is. As far as price it's not the best price I've read about but 3999.00 and since I probably won't try to title it that's it. Not bad though for "two" new bikes.

Dave

No, they did add a $112.00 "document" fee. Pretty tough filling out an MSO, tougher than I thought anyway. Lol it came to $4111.00. Still happy!

Dave

wow, that's awesome! I guess you didn't have to title it because you were out of state, thus no taxes as well?

No, I haven't titled it so no on the taxes. Not sure if I will or not. Can't hardly wait to ride it but I want to get it all greased and ready before I take it out and get it all muddy. As tempting as it is.

Dave

Got the swing arm and linkage bearings all greased up. Installed some hand guards(better known as lever guards for me) pushed it out of the garage two kicks later it was running. Let her warm up and away I went. Really, really, reeeally awesome. Found out that all this hype is not hype at all. This thing handles....easier I guess is the right word. Fun fun fun.
It ran great right out of the box. Absolutely screams mid to top which I assume is where it is meant to be ran. It keeps me busier in the woods but tracks straight and not squirrelly in the slick, which it was.
Couple of minor? disappoints though. No grab handles on the axles and no grease fittings on the linkage. Small things I guess but I miss them. Other than that, wonderful!
