• Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

crowdfunding in Gasgas???

As you know Gasgas are in trouble because of its historical debt. In spanish forums some people are talking about the possibility of make a crowdfunding, to recover Gasgas & Ossa brand, to renegociate the debt with the banks, to put in the market the GG xlite (my favorite), Ossa road bikes, etc... but especially to continue enjoying its fantastic bikes.

The idea is make an special factory series, at a price that includes a reduced price of the bike, plus 2000$ like a shareholding or similar in the company.

¿what do you think about it?

so everyone that owns a bike owns part of the company? that sounds pretty cool, though im not smart enough to know if thats a good idea or not. it seems gas gas has not shown much financial wisdom in the past, hard to say if investing would be a good idea.
 
It's not a rumor, there are certain people who coment that in spanish forums...

I hope GG/Ossa resolve their problems and we may soon see Gaser Xlite 310...

also continue enjoying this exelent 300 smoker (a bike closer to Huky spirit than current white Ktm), every body says that EC 2015 is the best Gaser ever (cheaper than the other brands), it would be unfair if they have to close down now...

That's really a rumor, says that Harley Davidson would be interested to buy Gasgas/Ossa group, creating the first American-Catalan offroad motorcycle brand... :cool:

Rode in a txt 321 side car outfit that thing had torque coming outta the demon hole, mentle power from a two pop i keep searching for one every now and then.
 
yea those older big bore gasgas's where nuts i have a buddy that had a 327 like a 92 i think loft the front in any gear any rpm just gas it
