  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

250-500cc CR250 2002 versus 2004

Hi guys,

I am considering starting to do mx, just for fun so no races. I've got a sweet spot for husqvarna and saw here in Holland 2 adds of CR250´s. One is a 2002 model, the other one a 2004 model.

Can anybody tell me the differences between those 2. Which is the one to prefer (if in the same state)?

TIA,
Jacco

opinions anyone?

Get whichever one is cleaner, tighter, more well cared for in my opinion condition is much much more important than any tiny differences. From.those picture to me im more drawn to the. number 33 bike but both appear well kept as far as the pictures show.

i am more biased to the blue and yellow but the 04 has an aftermarket pipe and plasitc might be easier to get

For Yellow, Blue or Black Fenders or Shrouds on the 00-04 I went here. They also have white, yellow and black side panels - http://ufoplasticusa.com/new/part.php?brand=Husqvarna&model=CR 125/250&year=2002

For Red or White Fenders and Shrouds on the 00-04 I went here - http://www.cemoto.it/prodotti.php?act=1&id=11&lingua=uk

The shipping from cemoto is pretty expensive @ 50 euros, but they only took about a week to get to the east coast. The shrouds don't fit great, but if you line the bolts up in a certain order they'll work ok. I bought a white rear fender, red shrouds, red/white graphics kit and a seat cover for my 2000 WR360 for around $228 shipped.
