  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Couple of problems with 13 TXC310

What is the EX battery? Turntech is sending me a 5 amp battery to see if this cures problem. Are you talking about the TE models above? Thought R's were unplugged and raceready. I did add an FMF powercore muffler I had sitting around off my 10 TC250. Will this cause bike to run lean? Should I be concerned about the decel popping?

The EarthX battery... ZipTy sells 'em. Designed and assembled in Colorado.

The TE's have 3 maps available and the TXC's 2. The TXC's come in full power mode, but not in race mode. Also the intake horns need to be tuned, depending on power response wanted. Ty cuts them on the lathe to tune them.

You say the txc's have a full power mode and a race mode? Whats the difference and how do you change the maps?

What's the deal on the MY12 TXC310? Can you get a race mode re-flash? To go along with my really nice FMF system, ya know:D Or is PCV the $answer$?

We can richen the '12s up in the shop, but the real answer is PCV's.

Any advantage to running PC-V on a 2012 with the TXC ECU and injector? I don't want to mess with loading different maps, etc, but it would be nice to manipulate the existing TXC map to maintain an optimal AFR across the range.

The new injector + the powercommander is the ecu from that point on. Ty raced all of his 310's with the pcv's to run them at their optimum level.

Put the 5 amp battery and it solved problem of starting. Even cold it fires up immediately. With 2.5 amp battery it turned over slow cold and didn't fire immediately. Now it fires instantly. Kudos to Turntech for sending new battery to me without hassle and quickly!
