There is an old saying, "When the going gets tough, the tough get going", and this statement was never more fitting than for the WORCS race at On The Edge Raceway in Central, Utah. The course treated the riders to tight tree sections, six stream crossings, rocky single track and a brutal high speed up hill, that had every rider gritting their teeth until they reached the crest. When the Checkered Flag came out, it was Husqvarna rider Cory Graffunder taking the win with a 1 min. margin of victory over Ivan Ramirez.
"This was the best course of the year for a WORCS race. Sean and Ryan cut some great trails that let me show how good my 449 Husky is as an off road race bike. Charles Jirsa nailed the set-up for this race. We keep testing shock and fork settings and then I just rely on my Flexx Bars and GPR to complete the package. Great race, great pits, great bike just the way I wanted it." Cory said while standing on the top of the box.
Cory also raced the "Trusty Husky" to first place on Saturday to take the 450 A win. With three WORCS rounds left, Cory is only seven points out of first in the Pro 2 championship. Now it is on to X Games EnduroCross and a chase for the gold.
