• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

TE/TC Coober ECU anyone have a line on one? 2021 TE300i

robertaccio

Husqvarna
Pro Class
No need to explain the current situation, I have inside info. Just if you know if a shop or someone has one on a shelf for sale. And no need to explain or comment on the other brands, I know all about those as well. I'm very well read on the TPI and tuning.

I have it and its installed. As advertised I find it just more optimized. Sound is a bit throatier, the difference between map 1 and 2 is way more noticeable. Plug and play is what I wanted and I got exactly what I wanted. A simple fully uncorked non E4 ECU. I am still getting used to the way power works with this TPI bike.

I am installing my standard set up Gnarley pipe with the 2.1 Ti silencer. I want more low rpm low end torque to be more in line with my 2017 TX300

I’m curious to see what the pipe and silencer do for ya. I’d love for my 20 tx to have a little more grunt but have been hesitant to pull the trigger. The power delivery on the tpi bikes is definitely different than the carb bikes for sure. I have yet to get my tx to do what my 15 te would do in the real technical stuff but every where else it’s a rocket.

The silencer has been on for a few rides, I can't feel anything with that . fact is it dropped @ 1 pound that's it. I hope the Gnarley boosts the bottom torque a little bit. I ride these things like tractors , hardly ever at higher RPM.

Why did you choose the Coober vs. others? Will be getting a 300 to set up for a friend.

simple plug and play optimized power/oil/ignition curve for OEM stock engines, to increase the life of the engine as well as being in fully uncorked mode. (no E4)
I took this as as I did back in the day with my 2011 TE310 when I added the 2012 TXC310 (TE310 race kit), plug and play uncorked ECU as part of the kit.
I do not want to play Mr. internet tuner and add extra parts to the engine , so many are adding these hi comp heads and playing GET tuning games....I don't want to add stress to my engine or be a backyard tuner. I want full OEM performance that's it.
PS if you really want to play Crew Chief, ECU tech the GET is amazing....just not for my taste.
