• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Collected my 610 Te today.

I placed a order about two weeks ago for my TE 610 Husky. Today was a good day:D I went to pic her up. Just need to run her in over the next few days and then i will most probably do some mods to her. She seems to have a bit of difficulty selecting neautral ? Is this normal ?

Some pics.

Congratulations...nice looking bike....I had trouble finding neutral on my 07 until I properly adjusted the clutch cable........................vin

Congratulations and welcome to the 610 fraternity.
Yes they can be a bit fussy about finding neutral, it gets a bit better with time and if you install a heavier clutch cable that doesn't strech so much it will make life easier.

That a pretty machine-enjoy her. All Huskies are robustly built and take some time to run in. This includes gearbox, suspension and engine. I found that it took a 1000 K's to free everthing up. better that way than super slippery from the get go and supper sloppy 6 months later.

Ciao

Congratulations. I've had mine for a few weeks - turned 300 mi today.. What a machine... Neutral is getting easier to find. And the bike seems to have more zip as the miles increase... Will install the resistor mod and Leo Vince pipe at the 620 miles first service...

Mike...

Welcome to the club! Like everyone has said the bike will break in and become more settled as time goes on. Mine really began to run great after the third oil change, I also changed to Spectro 20/50 offroad synth blend which helped shifting considerably. A Barnett clutch cable is the way to go IMO, it's a bit longer, heavier construction and lightens the pull a bit.

cheers,

Mike

Thank's all. So no need to worry about the neutral.

Make sure you adjust your clutch before you buy anything, maybe you don’t need it? :excuseme:

My bad. I didn't realize that Kelly had upgraded the cable he was carrying as a stock item. I got one of the earlier cables when I got my damper (which if no one has heard me mention it before is absolutely awesome) and the cable he supplied at the time was just longer not beefier.

It’s all good in d’hood
I think he uses the same Branett cables
so might as well get it from him since he pays for the corporate jet fuel and those delicious doughnuts :D

Where does one get a moderators application form?
Just wondering.

Xcuvator, You have to be a "Wise Guy/Gal" to be a moderator. :D

On another note: That is a nice bike, I love the 610. As all have said, the neutral is a bugger at first. I roll it while running up to a stop, easy to find when shut off too. Have fun with it you will really love it after brake in..

I had trouble finding neutral til George @ uptite adjusted it. And it ran effin great for like 6 months. Then I started having issues again and I tried to adjust it like George had it.

FAIL!

What's the proper way to adjust the clutch? I just don't get it.
