  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Code question 2012 TE310

Husqvarna
AA Class
Have to take my '12 TE310 back to the dealer but was wondering if anyone knows what a "E41E" code is. That's what comes up when I turn the key on and it cycles thru on the speedo before the fail message comes up and stays on.

It is just the standard diagnostic code. Mine has it and it's not a negative code.

Possibly you have a bad connector that replaced the lambda. Hopefully it is a small item like that.

The E41E is normal to show up when you power up. It should disappear in about 1 second. Which it sounds like it does for you, but then you get the FAIL? Are you trying to start the bike before the speedo has fully booted?

I can get a FAIL on my speedo if I just quick tap the start button. But it'll start normally if I hold it down and clear the FAIL. I can't remember if I have to power cycle to clear it or not, though. It doesn't happen very often.

No I wait till it goes thru the full cycle and then all that appears is the MPH and "Fail" and that's how it stays. Rode it like 20 miles yesterday and "Fail" was there the whole time and all you can see is your MPH and the "Fail". Bike ran fine so I'm sure it can't be anything big but I'll find out in the next day or two when I get back into the shop and they plug in their diagnostics.
