• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Clutch slave and piston??????

Husqvarna
A Class
so it finally went and need a new slave and piston haha where is the cheapest and best place to get a billet or stock piece???? ive been looking around but really cant find much just a couple but they are all lotsa money hahaha i polished the stock one and put a new oring which lasted quite a while but the tolerance is too far out of spec now and yea very sad haha

you laugh a lot while typing... haha

Stock- halls husky (but you knew that)
Zipty Racing- for the billet housing (should be able to use stock piston you have)-
7602- for their piston that fixes the problem of the stock piston tilting in the housing causing wear- (supposed to work with stock or zipty housing/ and may work with many worn housings- but obviously if its too badly worn it probably will not be able to resolve the issues.

I guess with yours- I'd probably lean towards getting a new stock housing and a 7602 piston...

I didn't have too much wear on my stock housing and got the 7602 piston and installed it- also rebuilt my Master Cylinder/ bled and I am good as new. It was loosing presure and recovering over and over and over- made technical riding very difficult. Problem solved.

yea my slave looks good the walls are not too bad just lost pressure last year rebleed the system and worked till last week then put a new oring in and yea worked for a bit and then lost all the mineral oil in the motor sooo haha im just going to try a new stock slave and piston kit and see if that works, did husky have a problem with the masters going bad? or just the slave and piston magura made? and yes im a happy person hahahahahahhaha

No real issue with masters but the seals can wear in time - not too common but it happens. $30 to rebuild the master. My symptoms were just weired and I didn't feel like playen' so I just did that too. (usually a leak at the master at the plunger lever is the "symptom" to look for but there's 2 seals, one to seal and one to push- I suspected my pusher was leaking...) haha:D
