  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Clutch lever replacement suggestions?

I broke my clutch lever and before I replace it with the same, I was wondering if there is a lever that will give me a little more leverage and make the pull a bit lighter. I have searched the web but not finding anything specific. Is there anything you guys would recommend?

If Midwest Mountain Engineering has a lever that will work with the 2013 clutch, I would recommend them. I have one on my 2009 that I'm happy with.

They do have a lever for Brembo clutches, so I expect that would work. Only thing I'm unsure of is that they list a special model for the KTM 350, and a regular model. Presumably ours would be the regular model, but it doesn't specifically say on the website:

Same as Andrew ,I have had one on my 09 310 for over a year and it makes feathering the clutch real easy . I damaged the rod in mine , called them and they were very pleasant to deal with .

Put an MME lever on my 511 after turning my ASV lever (and handguard) into a pretzel. It's a right pain in the arse to adjust and get it bang on, but goes alright once it's set properly.

I've been using MOOSE replacement levers that I picked up from the local KTM dealer. Hell of a lot cheeper than Brembo. Take your Brembo with you to make sure the plunger matches up.

I did this too, but ordered online. I found I had to shim the pivot a little to reduce flop. Otherwise works perfectly, and inexpensive.
