• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Clearing up confusions on Motosportz biz Mike / Me

I am getting some feedback where people are confused about the recent change in Motosportz biz. Thought I would address that real quick for this confused.

I started and own Motosportz. Mike is along time friend and old husky dealership owner and husky enthusiast. He approached me at one point to offer maintenance parts and additional stuff for huskys. Was a good idea. The more and more it grew the more time it took from me wanting to concentrate on my parts that I design and build in house. About a year ago i told Mike I wanted to refocus on the in house parts and wanted him to take over the other parts so we slowly transitioned into that. We are divided by about 250 miles in location and are right now running pretty much separately. Mike is a great guy and has been doing this a long time so you are in good hands there.

So:

Me (Kelly):
Dampers
rotor guards
some skid plates
axle nuts
- Stuff we build
Lectron carbs
Nomad tanks
Trailtech stuff
Motoz tires
165 kits (via Walt)
etc

Mike:
Air filters, oil filters, bearings, cables, all that sort of stuff.

As we are in different locations and running them separately there is no combined shipping or processing. I know this is not idea for some orders but is much EZer to maintain this way and how we are doing biz now. Hope this clears some questions up.

thanks
Kelly

You should just put each others links on each others website. I would think it would help. People go to one searching for another and then the general customer can essentially answer their own questions. Not trying to pry in, just a suggestion.

If you scroll to the bottom of the page Kelly does link to Mike's website.
