  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Check your throttle bodies and injectors 310 TXC

After messing around for 3 weeks to get the 13TXC 310 to run right again it was as simple as cleaning the throttle body and fuel injector properly...unbelieveable...I chased everything from fuel pump, to filter, stator (replaced) to every piece of wiring imaginable. I spent good $$ on parts that were not needed. I should have listenend to Tinken when he said you can't REALLY clean the injector with brake cleaner and a 9v battery. It needed an ultrasonic treatment and then it was flow tested. It also had a ripped o ring in the injector...go figure. Anyway...the 310 lives.

I've never see it offered by a parts store. Most often its a small shop that offers the service. I've used http://www.mrinjector.us/ for my 93 K75 BMW along with a number of friends and have been very happy with the service and turnaround.

Mr injector has a FAQ page with you're name in it! :D

It's 16.00 per injector regardless of the make and it's 5.50 for return shipping. That said I'd call or read the FAQ before sending it

I've only used him for my road bike and and don't know if it matters where the injector comes from.

Any idea what liquid was in the ultrasonic cleaner? I have access to USC's at work, we use them to clean epoxy ratio mixing equipment for building wind turbine blades.

for 16.00 per injector plus flat rate 5.50 shipping and someone who's got experience doing it right I didn't ask when I talked with him. It's just not something worth doing myself as you really shouldn't be doing it often. I know with the ones I had done the process also takes off any paint and they repainted them as part of the price.

I have no idea...sorry. Someone needs to buy the 310 :)....the new ride showed up yesterday. See the FS forum :) ....buy me....

Dare I say it?....its blue and it smokes :) (YZ 250) I still have the 11 txc 250...I may keep that one for a little while longer if that one doesn't sell...the 310 hsa to go quick!

I'm actually offering it for even less to CH members...$3K ********************************************************************************

Ok, so back to the TPS thing. We have a 5 volt power supply and wiring harness. I can't seen to find the recommended TPS settings from Husky. Can anybody provide the best settings for a bike (TE310R) with map 2, opened airbox (TXC filter cage and opened velocity stack) and exhaust mods (cat and DB killer removed)? We live in the Midwest, 1,100 feet above sea level.

As it turns out, after hooking the 250 up to I-Beat - took a while to find a computer with XP :) , and of course i-beat would only install on the XP - it turns out the TPS is bad. Cleared the history and got it to fail again. Tap on the TPS sensor and it dies. Awesome...now I get to spend another 550 for a throttle body/tps sensor.

Sheesh, that is a bummer.. crazy. As Joe said..(need2boat) maybe part it out on FleaBay...

Your TXC btw is a steal! Hope you sell it fast.

I saw that. The model # is different from what's on the 2011...not sure if that would work...?

I see what's happening here...my mistake...the 13 is good to go. The TPS that went out is on my 2011 TXC....I merged the topics in my swiss cheese brain :)
