• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I raised my bars 30mm and that has helped but i cant help but feel that i need my pegs lowered just a bit to aide the position... Any ideas that wont cost the earth ...like my tm slider ! ;)

PS, HOW DO YOU TALL GUYS DEAL WITH HUNCHING OVER.. I AINT TALL BUT STILL NOTICE THE HEIGHT ON BARS AND PEGS AND I ALREADY HAVE QUITE A HIGH BEND PRO TAPER RC BEND !

Forgive me for not knowing, but take a look at your pegs. If they are like a Gas Gas, or Yamaha, there will be a spacer molded into the peg on the bottom side. On a GG or Yam, you can cut it off, and re-weld it on the top, this moves the pegs down about a half of an inch. It moves them back slightly too, but it's worth it , especially 'cause it's my favorite price..... Free.

Frankly, the Fastway pegs are not very expensive, and they're very adjustable. My last bike, a Gas Gas 250, I rewelded the pegs. This one (GG300), I bought the Fastways.

ah ok, will hae a look as its a pain whe i stand a lot through the tight lumpy stuff when sitting really isnt an option...which is 90% of what i ride.. also easier to man handle the 510 round tight stuff while standing.. cheers for the tip ! :)
