  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

125-200cc Can I run 2011-2013 144 kit on 2007?

I tried searching can someone help me out on whether I can run the 144 kit from a 2011-2013 125 on my 07?? I want to say the motor hasnt changed that much right?

I think you need the updated power valves to go with the new cylinder. The older ones were squareish, the new ones are oval shaped if I remember correctly.

I don't remember when that change was though.

Later,

I think mines oval shaped, I just picked up about 7 used cylinders mostly 125 and a bunch of used fmf pipes as a parts package, Ill be keeping most of it but parting with some of it

You happen to get a gnarly pipe that would fit an 04 cr125? I'm putting a2012 144 on my 04. Let me know how yours goes if you get yours done first.thanks

Will do, it looks to me like there shouldnt be any issues. I didnt get a gnarly just some fmf powercore 2 silencers

How can I tell the difference between a 125 and 144 head? Are the heads very different on the 144s or not?

Edge of the squish band will measure 58mm diameter, 125 will measure 54mm. A 125 head can easily be machined out to 58mm.
