I recently bought a used 2014 FE250. Now that its spring in CT, it was time for new tires, and brake pads. When the wheels were off I put new wheel bearings in also, they were notchy.
So its time to re-assemble it all. Front wheel goes on without issue. Rear wheel will not go on at all. When I try to line up the rotor between the new pads, its way off. So I figure out this is a floating caliper. After some penetrating oil and some persuasion, the rear floating pin is moving a little. But I cant for the life of me get the front pin to budge. I dont want to break anything. Penetrating oil and squeezing with channel locks gets me nowhere. And I want to ride my damn bike-lol.
Any suggestions? A big C clamp? The rear pin is screwed in, but when I unscrew it all the way it still wont come out. But I think thats because the front is seized. And I dont see a nut on the front pin, so what holds it in?
Thanks for any ideas.
