  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

125-200cc Buying a 14' cr165!!

Chums

Pro Class
Well after asking tons of questions and talking to a bunch of very helpful C.H. members I decided to go ahead and get the 14' cr165 to add to my 14' WR300.

I believe I'm going to do a high-ish comp head maybe something I can do a 50/50 mix with, I was a 230-ish lb faster B rider last year and will likely use the extra power, but none the less need to get on a diet.

As for extras I'm getting a IMS tank since it's a CR, a lectron whatever motosportz recommends, a rekluse exp 2.0, and I'm waiting on a price for an 18" rear setup, I usually run tgt sub tank bars on everything and am getting the suspension done.

I've been thinking this could be used as a secondary race bike for real tight enduros and hare scrambles with the 300 being my main bike for the wider open stuff. I guess I'll know what all the hoopla is about once I ride it! Thanks for the help and I'll post a comparison when I can

Hope you like it . Good choice on the CR vs WR. Which pipe? As you may have read the ktm 200 HGS pipe gives it a bit more top end and 200 fatty more mid .
If you are tallish Id recommend decent bar risers first up .

I believe the FMF fatty pipe and I run Scotts undermount setup so its good for a little higher bar. I'm currently working on a diet plan to drop 30 lbs lol...

I was told 2 stroke IMS tanks were 2.9 Gal or 10.9777 liters and the 4 stroke was closer to 2.8 gal or 10.5992 liters due to the fuel pump
