Yep ... Here's Metcalfes' story from the last couple yrs:
It's a good move for both parties, as Metcalfe has proven himself capable of being a top-five (or better) rider, and landing a factory ride can only help him in realizing that potential. Unable to secure a ride to his liking for the 2013 season, Metcalfe signed a deal last season to race the Canadian Nationals for Leading Edge Kawasaki and went on to win the MX1 championship - winning five of nine races, never finishing worse than fourth and taking the title with a 74-point edge over second place.
Not sure what their racing is like up there, or when it ended but here's a top Aussie rider and Canadian Champ, returning to ride in the states with a factory ride ... This could be very interesting ...
