• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Brand spanking new TE630 in Edmonton.

KLOC

Husqvarna
AA Class
That would be Edmonton, Alberta ... Canada. Went to the Edmonton Bike Show this evening and lo and behold there was a TE630 sitting there. Apparently nobody wants it so there it sat, neglected and overshadowed by its hussy little 511 sister. A bit of a discount on it and I'm pretty sure it could be dealt on. Echo Cycle has it.

Will be at the show tomorrow, if that's the case going to have to close my eyes & walk past past the Husky booth.

I spoke with Josh for a bit and it seems the pricing isn't too bad for the left over models. Definately a good time to scoop it up as old man winter finally decided to show up. Snow and forcast temperatures of well below -20 C for as long as we can tell will make them eager to sell.

I tried to buy it in September, talked to Rick about it a couple of times and even back in September they were claiming that the rebates on the 630's were over with when International in Burnaby and River City in Kamloops were both more than happy to sell me as many 630's as they had in stock for $6999.00.

With that great experience at Echo all of my Husqvarna parts needs for the 630 I bought from International have been served by T&T in Bonnyville (where I would have preferred to buy if Terry had a 630 left), and if I have to take it in for any work I will happily drive the extra 90 minutes each way to Bonnyville.

There it is folks, sounds like she could be a collector item pretty quick, couldn't help myself, even sat on her. Fit just right.
