• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Well sort of. How many people would be willing to spend $100.00 dollars for 1 in 66 odds of winning a 2008 TXC 250?

The bike would be fully preped and ready to ride. If the bike is picked up in person, we will set up your suspension and even treat you to some of our local trails. One on one maintenance traiing is also included in all of our bikes, bought or won.

What do you guys think?

I'd work out the shipping vs no shipping first. Cafe Husky is a "Wordwide Husqvarna Community".

Maybe the cost of shipping USA is about what your hands on training & trail riding are worth? Or toss in some parts for whichever option would make it about the same?

Might want to describe your bike prep to people cause they might not be aware how thorough you are.

Shipping is the responsibility of the winner. I would limit it to the USA only.
The one on one maintenance training and local trail tour is what I do for riders who are will to make the trip to Bend to buy a bike and many have described the experience as priceless. Even if the bike is shipped, we will send it fully prepped. At most shipping in the US on that bike is $600. If you can afford the ticket, I would think you could come up with $600 more bucks to get your $7000 bike home.

upon researching it I found out Oregon does have a license to Raffle and I have got a lot of response on a Ducati forum to buy tickets for $1000 each for a 1 in 40 chance to win a 1098R. I will check with the DOJ when they open again and see if it is worth while to do.
At 1 in 66 odds to win for $100 dollars how could you not win? : ) If I was given 1 in 66 odds that I would be killed when I went outside, I would stay in.

I guess your Brothers of the Great White North are out in the cold sort of speak. :excuseme:

And you say this because???
Like Coffee said, "worldwide community".

Wonder what our tax man would say at the border when they try to collect taxes and duty.
