Rear backing plate wobbles, and I have traced it to the bushing and/or sleeve in the center of the backing plate. The brass bushing (part 40 on fiche, no. 151660501) is obtainable but the steel sleeve that rides on the axle and mates into brass bushing is a bit more of a treasure hunt (part 30 on fiche, no. 151572501). I would assume the brass bushing would wear more than the steel sleeve, but I have no way to compare the tolerances to see if both are shot. So my questions are:
1. Has anyone run into this and found another part that would work? The pre-1977 sleeve appears to look the same minus a lip that is on the '77-'79.
2. Assuming I buy the brass bushing and try to use it with the old steel sleeve, how tight should that bushing and sleeve fit together?
