• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Brake hose wear

ADSTE

Husqvarna
AA Class
Please see and advise......I can see the bracing is starting to wear through..can I maybe sleeve the bend of hose with a conduit or small tube over it for protection?

I'm sure this is common.image.jpg image.jpg

Loosen the banjo bolt slightly, rotate the hose so it doesn't touch the case, and re-tighten the banjo bolt.

This seems to be a Husky standard feature. Italians...

Good idea
But don't have 1
I have some split plastic conduit that I'll try ..see how it looks and post up.

I'll look for some rubber at work too
Cheers

Also keep an eye on the line up from the master as the chain slap will eventually eat it.

i just used zipties to pull the loop back in addition to loosening up the master cylinder banjo and adjusting the loop position. just need to play with the loop. been the same since my 06 te450,txc450,te310,txc310r.they all rubbed the engine block while the swingarm moved
..not the best setup just one of those red husky quirks,

additional I also used split convoluted tubing on my TXC450 with zip ties over it for more chafe resistance, the kind you can buy in the auto parts store (but mine was a mil-spec type). I will try to find some fotos.

After having a look at mine in preparation for tomorrow's ride, I am very disappointed.
Mine does not seem to have this feature as standard, and there seems no way to modify it to wear through, even with the rear wheel as far forward as possible.
Should I take the bike back and ask for a refund??
Maybe it's an "extra" that you guys get in the 'States as a little Italian bonus - and the Italians have been short-changing us Brits (let's not get into politics!)

:lol::lol::lol:

Sorry to hear you didn't get this feature.........you could always ask for a retrofit

Cheers. Enjoy your ride

We got it as part of the deal over here so it might be so. In fact they were so thorough that it nearly rubbed through my case.

We'll hose is fitted. Used from an auto shop here in OZ.image.jpg and some motul 7100 and a filter to finish the service.
