  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

250-500cc Bought a new shifter for my 300

Looks like the ones that they have in the UK, only with different branding.

Also, looks like 5 other guys are getting one, too.

I just bought one. One of my few possible complaints too my 300 is the shift lever. I just can never get the "right" feel for it. The price was right on this too

I bought one. It's not horrible but it seems not stiff enough, very flexy. Every time I ride the bike when I'm done I notice it's always a little bent. It does have a good tip but I don't think I would buy another one. Just not very strong IMO.

Does it sit further away from the engine cover? my stock one has flexed and scratched the guts out of my engine case because it sits too close :(

Got it today. Nice looking with a great tip. Yes it is bent better to allow clearance of the clutch cover.

The CH Husky race team welds a large (30mm) washer onto the back of the lever near the tip to prevent it from gouging the cover too much.

I ordered one a few weeks ago, chucked it on, and was a bit surprised as to how much sideways movement it had. .
Took it for a ride and it seemed fine, but got back and it had bent in a tiny bit, so it was almost touching the case. I had not stacked it either.
Overall, I'm not that excited by it, but it is heaps cheaper than an OEM one

I,ve had an aftermarket alloy Husaberg lever on my 300 for about six months now and its been great .
pretty much the same shape as the oem but with a longer tip:thumbsup:

+1 tried one of these allow levers and it has +/- 10mm sideways movement, same deal as with the OEM lever :excuseme:
