• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

We finally got some of the new husqvarna back packs in the all new black version. The pack is very nice like the old red version and the same price 49.95. I will try to get a pic up soon if kelly doesn't beat me to it.

I used the red one I recently bought several times. It's really well set up and at $50 it's a steal. My son wants one but I need to get him off the ktm 85 and onto a husky 125 or 150 first.

This pack is a steal at $49.95- you weren't kidding. I would compare it to MUCH more expensive back packs- and it has everything I need and more- bladder area- tool area- nice straps and ergos and its got HUSKY Styling! I will appreciate it greatly on my day rides... Thanks****************************************!

whoowa whoowa!!

The Husky blackpack rocks! Smartly designed, I like the waist belt that keeps it from flopping around so much when I screw up whoop sections

These carry weight REA::Y well as I found out packing a half gallon of gas for a long ride. Did not even know it was there. Nice wide straps and well set up. Only thing i have found kinda odd is the whole bag is kinda floppy when near empty and you need to get into the main huge zipper compartments. This bag is EXACTLY like a buddies OGIO pack minus the husky graphics.

nice!

freakin' HUGE...and it has a neck hole fer yer head to go through on the top strap too...no way it's coming off then- tree branches? slam away! nice touch. i could use one as a bivouac and my feet wouldnt stick out. better yet, kel could ride me home when i get too tired to finish the trail! and there'd still be room for beers.

yes, i'm a midget.

Kelly,
When can I expect a back pack. Clearing log infested trail both days this weekend and ripped my current pack. Let me know.
Thanks,
Walt

Got my Husky back pack from Kelly and attempted to fill it out this weekend. What a great pack. I didn't even begin to fill it out and I am unable to not use space when it is available no matter what the weight. Extremely adjustable and carries the weight very well. I rode in a torrential downpour/hail/groppel showers on Saturday and everything stayed dry and I didn't even notice the 20 lbs on my back. I love it and I am a complete equipment dork. Knowing me, I will have a complete backup top end stored in it for the next ride.
Thanks Kelly, you really are the man!!!

Glad you like it Walt, And yes it is a tanker. If anything it is almost to big as it is kinda floppy (when not wearing it) and yes, it carries a load VERY well. I packed 3/4 gallon gas, all my tools and extra tools for a flat and extra cloths on my 216 mile day and hardly could tell it was there. The wide straps and good shape make it very good at distributing weight. BTW I;m sure the same company the makes this make a Ogio pack as my buddy has one that is identical but different color and says Ogio on it. Good stuff.
