  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

My 2012 TE 310 is better than it ought to be. This was going through my head again and again today while at the track. I had some issues early on, but this bike handles better than any street legal dirt bike has a right too. I rode it on the MX track today and charging the doubles are no problem, the bike soaks up the rhythm section as good as a dedicated MX bike. Then on to the enduro track the bike eats up the single track sections better than any 4-stroke I have ever ridden. The brakes are phenomenal i can brake slide effortlessly into the corners, and feathering the front brake to make the front end dive just enough into the berms is no problem at all. I am just amazed at how well this bike works every time I ride it. The suspension is just phenomenal in stock form all I have done is reduce the rebound a bit up front, and adjust the high speed compression in the rear. The log sections that always kicked out the rear end on my previous machine are smooth and controllable with this bike. The power is just right with the 12 hole injector and TCX ignition, if I want too I can lug this thing down to almost a crawl in 3rd going into a tight turn, feather the clutch on exit, and it is singing like a rock star. The bike just plain works better than it ought too.

I'm with ya there. Rode mine to work yesterday. I left for work @ 4:15 am so I stayed on the road (can't say I'm a fan of the stock lighting). We had spotty rain all day so on the way home I experienced 8 miles of dry twisty singletrack, six miles of rocky wet doubletrack and six miles of fast tacky doubletrack with some great jumps over wooden bridges. Many types of terrain and my bike just ate it up. As you said 'The bike just plain works better than it ought to'...

Wow how many people are lucky enough to be able to ride single track on the ride home for work!

I envy you Indorider!
