  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

250-500cc best place in US to get gnarly/powercore 2 combo

anyone got a shop/website they know that does good deals & will ship to AUS cheapishly. not too concerned on time frame as 300 still waiting for parts to arrive so be a month or 2 before riding. was hoping to get away with under $400($350 be nice) shipped. not sure if BMP/Halls sell these? if you see or here of any let me know. cheers

partzilla & rmatv pretty similar on price, not bad. just wondering if smaller shops or site sponsors may have a deal going on? i want the powercore 2 so i have to order for a 2006 wr250 correct? are there any differences between the wr250 & cr250 gnarly pipes? differences again to the wr300 gnarly pipe? i was fairly sure they were all the same pipe?!:excuseme: exy to send back to the USA so wanna get it right

Rocky Mountain seems to have the most competitive prices on just about everything and they ship it out the same day if you get your order in
early enough. I've bought a ton of stuff from them, including the Q Stealth silencer, which is a nice unit and the only one FMF offers for the newer 300's,
and have always been very satisfied with pricing and fast shipping time.

mid west cycles(i think) on ebay seem well priced, anyone dealt with them? i bought the powercore 2 for my 165 from somewhere on ebay in the states & i think it may have been them but cant remember now-you guys over there have so many choices of bike sites/stores its not funny!

You'll be hard pressed to get a pipe and silencer from the states under $450 let alone $400 due to the dollar and shipping.
You can try shipto.com and order direct from FMF.
I bought my gnarly pipe from these guys motorcycle-superstore.com.au (US site whom rego'ed an .au domain) but that's when the dollar was at $1.04 and it was very reasonable in pricing and speed of freight:

JCMotors is pretty good as well...delivered my silencer and mate's harley pipe within 1.5 weeks.

can get 300 gnarly for about $250US delivered on ebay from mid west cycles which is pretty bloody good i reckon! there's the gnarly/powercore 2 combo for a good price but the pipe number is different for older 2006 CR/WR250s(025010) than the 300s(025148)? anyone know why? im assuming pipe mounts are slightly different or is it a whole different shaped pipe? newer 300 gnarly fits both 250 & 300. powercore 2 is the same product number(025012) which looks like it will fit fine with the newer & older 300 gnarly. ???

They look like the end where the stinger connects is different...hard to tell as the pic's look generic between models.

Know anyone with a WR250 00-06?

nah but im sure its all sweet to mount the 06 wr250 powercore2 onto newer 300 pipes?! whos done this or can verify it correct? ill do a bit of digging & see if i can find the thread on here or maybe even email FMF. Q stealth & turbinecore too long for what i want plus dont need SA. like the powercore 2s alot. thought about chopping oem silencer but too hard(gotta weld) plus dont really like the look of em. can someone with an older WR/CR tell me if the pipe stinger/silencer connection are the same as newer 300s?

Just bought a FMF Turbine Core 2 for 00-06 WR250 to fit my 2014 WR300. Will post pics once installed. Here is thread with pics of PowerCore2 installed on newer WR250/300 http://www.cafehusky.com/threads/fmf-powercore-2-for-300.8895/#post-91369. I decided against Leo Vince due to fragile end cap that stuck out far and against Q Stealth due to it sticking out so far - don't want to destroy silencer from trail obstacles coming in contact with it. Hafta have S/A otherwise would have bought PowerCore 2 as well.

you sold the 01 in ya avatar OMG?

Nah...That's my 95 WR360 (never to be sold) and have a 00 WR250, will keep them as long as the missus can put up with 3 bikes in the household.
Haven't told her l'm in the market for possibly a button 2t and possibly a 4t

Don't know if they have one for your bike but I just got my FMF Fatty And Turbine Core 2 for my '07 WR 125 from indysuperbikes on ebay for $300.00 delivered... and I got it in 2 days from Indy to Florida!
