• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Best longer clutch cable for TE610??

BiG DoM

Husqvarna
AA Class
I fitted a new OEM clutch cable about 5 months ago and while on a 2000km ride in some very remote areas discovered it fraying at the lever. Managed to nurse it home while kicking myself that I had forgotten a spare I had. I want to replace it with a stronger and longer cable - who sells the best? My other alternative is to have a few made up by cable maker guys.

i havent used it because i cant find anyone stocking it here but many recommend the barnett. part no #101-37-10610

Since we're on the subject of clutch cables, how does the longer than stock cables route?

My bike has it on the outside of the radiator but I bought the bike used so I'm unsure of the routing.

I bought the Motosportz cable and have emailed them and started a thread in the Motosportz forum with no response.

I have and am using the motosportz cable, no issues. My routing is on the back side of radiator, coming up in front of tank.

I believe the Motosportz one is made by motion pro for them and its a good one! 2" longer and much better over all product!

Hi Dom --Cable Guy in SA makes them up --just take your old one and ask that they make a new one 50mm longer. They also put in a thicker inner cable and stronger casing for it. Paid about R170.00 --Same day service ---

my clutch cable has gone. i cant get the barrett cable here but can get the motion pro 10-0123. does anyone know if this cable is the same length as the oem cable or longer? i cant find the info anywhere.

cheers

edit: pretty sure from googling its the same length as the oem cable. i have a scotts damper which lifts the bar about an inch. not sure if the standard length will be long enough.
