  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

125-200cc Best exhaust system for CR125

Hey guys just wondering what the best exhaust system (silencer and expansion pipe) is for the 2013 CR125. I was talking to Dad about it and he said he read somewhere that the stock silencer is the best, anyone confirm this?

I'm looking for a bit more bottom end grunt, so i can (try) to attempt slow wheelie's instead of doing them in band.

I personally really like PC. Fits extremely well, looks good, sounds good and most of all not overly expensive.

I've also had FMF on my 09 and what a pile that pipe and silencer was. From the day I got the pipe and silencer it did not line up at all, it leaked coming out of the head and always had to be siliconed to seal it up. I feel like because the bike is an off brand they didn't seem to realy care to take the time to make a good fitting pipe and silencer.

That being said it could've been the luck of the draw and I just happened up on the short end.

I think FMF is well known for their quality control, or lack thereof. I can't argue with the power though. It does make good power, and is much better off the bottom.

I've got the Husky/PC Racing "Factory" pipe and fresh 304 silencer for sale if you want to try it.
QC issues aside, the PC pipes are known to be more top end, the FMF Fatty also and the FMF Gnarly more bottom and mid.
I have FMF TC2 spark arrestor and stock pipe on mine and it pulls really clean off the bottom.
