    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Went to Caliente, Nv this weekend for a 3 day ride. Rode 100 miles of desert singletrack, sandwashes, up hills, down hills, thru the forests and more!! The little TC did awesome!! Bike is a true wonder weaving thru singletrack! Braking, turning and accelerating are so easy on this bike!! Bike has JDjetting and bike always started within 3 kicks. The recluse is a must and makes the bike a perfect offload weapon. My buddies who are both on new KTM's, 350 and 450 had no chance keeping up with me!! I also had my XC converted 03 CR250 with me. I rode the CR Friday and it is a great bike but after 50 miles I was more tired than riding 100 miles on Saturday on the TC. I've been riding for 15 years and this bike is my favorite!! I am definitely faster on this bike than my old 10 WR 300 and less tired. Both my buddies are B class compadres and they will be looking at my back tire!! I keep telling them you don't need all that power in the woods. Rode both KTM's and they were heavy and slow handling. The only place I missed the power was in the longer sandwashes. Ill give that up for ease of riding in singletrack!!
 
Cool ... I have one of these 010 machines in my future and will be glad when I finally get it ... Its hard to believe it can be alot better than my 08 TXC250 but maybe it is ...

PS -- I'm not a sand rider either ....

Having had both it is not even close, the 2010 so much much better than the 08'.

You might have something there ...my buddy Dave has my bike and rode it ... He's as Kawi green as RV1 and a 2t rider to boot but said that 010 Husky was very powerful and be careful on it ... :)
 
I agree as I have got a TXC 250 08 and 2 2010 TC 250s in my stable and they there is no comparison they are that good we are having a clean out so we can get a 3rd (for daughter) They are way lighter more powerful right off the bottom all the way thru to a great top end, it is the best handling bike I have ever ridden , great to work on and so much fun to ride / race. Dont believe the BS about being under powered, I am selling a KTM 520 and never thought i would go back to a 250 4 stroke UNTIL I RODE THE TC and it only cost $6500 new Aus $
any way ray you will be singing their praises about 4 hours after you get yours I'm sure

best thing to do is sell your TXC before they hear about the 2010 TC's
