• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

TE/TC Bens 2017 TE 300

Looks mint mate tho I'm not 100% sold on the Handguards n front fender. Look a little old school.

Yeah I hear what your saying. Cycra guards will be going on soon.
Don't mind the front fender as quite like that old school touch. I don't like the headlight though, that is ugly! May grow to like it in time lol

Robert could be right. I deeply considered getting rid of it on my 15 300 but after time it grew on me especially with some background and numbers. I personally think the 17 headlight is better than the 15 but to each their own.

Hey Ben, can you post or PM me the factory recommended spring rates from the user manual for rider weight (usually they list 3 with the stock set up included) I want to build an extended chart, like I did for my 2014 TE300.....so I can review/understand options for my outside the "norm" tank arse poundage.... I'm so darn into this machine, I already want to do some calculations even though I might not get one, yet.

interesting how light the shock springs are, certainly means lots of changes to linkage rates and chassis dimensional arrangement.
the forks seem very standard in the across the board rates among the other manufacturers, nothing out of the ordinary.
OEM calls out deep race sag of 110mm but very standard static of 35mm. thanks again for posting, remember the OEM does mega testing to mathematically get the chassis balance dialed in, work to match the balance they call out. and most of all have fun!!!
