  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Bar Risers

I use a set of them, but a buddy just made a set on a lathe works perfect makes the bike more comfortable

I made mine as well. After a few different versions, I settled on a slightly taller and wider copy of the touratech ones. For me, at 6'2" they make a world of difference in comfort for stand up riding.

I made a set for myself and Jon out of aluminum. I made 1 3/4" for myself (im 6'2") and 1" for Jon.

If anyone wants a simple set, $25 shipped. 1-2" you decide.

Selling these for $40.00, with mounting bolts/nuts

That is cheap.... couldn't machine those in China new for that price barley.... are you just reselling a used single set or is that just your price for them?

ok, that makes sense. I was gonna say. . . . you cant be making money at that price if you were making them new for $40 bucks. . . .
Look pretty nice and big offset

Would like to use the 30 mm ones on my '13 te 310R. Anybody know what is the tallest riser you can easily fit without having to make changes to all the controls, etc.?

mine are just over 44mm and I had no issues with wires and cables, but..... Much more and you will need longer cables.
