  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Anyone looking for a Husky bar pad, I just received this today from Halls. They had them in stock and it looks very nice.

Nice. I just ordered one from Taskys the other day. Looks like stuff is finally starting to trickle in.

$31.00 including shipping. Just a tad pricey, but the quality is A1!!

My style is to buy few, high quality, products. Does not seem pricey to me. Especially compare to doctor bills if it prevents any injuries... or even missing some time off work. Stuff happens.

Wow that seem way high to me. You can get very nice ones for less than half that. Of course they don't have any husky logo's on them though.

I would like to see how it looks mounted!

I can tell you that it seems to be a Husky only (Form fitted) high density foam rubber piece.

The one I have installed now, I paid $15.00 + Tax for, I had to modify the foam (the foam is the airy light weight type foam). I think for a few bucks more this pad is far superior.

P.S. - If your local Husky dealer has it in stock it will cost a lot less as you will not pay for shipping.

We are running bar pads on our three Husky's but none of them look that good. We also had to do some cutting to make them fit properly. Thanks for the info.

I got one at the time I bought my 310 ($39 Aussie) looks great had no issues be aware they dont fit the 449 or the 511. I also run the Husqvarna factory alloy bash plate ($260 Aussie) and I am very happy with the coverage it gives the engine.
