• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I was looking for a new gear bag. Mine is kinda old and beat up. So I did the usual, look for a big bag that will hold a days riding gear and other stuff for a good price. Most large bags are 75-150+

Well I put in "Husqvarna Gear bag" for grins and look what pops up! 45 bucks from a lawn and garden place. The bag is made out of HEAVY DUTY Cordura material. 1 foot 2 inches wide, but 2.5 feet long by 1 foot 2 inches high. A shoulder strap as well as regular carry straps with handles.

I ordered this bag and got it 4 days later. Has 2 big zippered pockets on it that could easily hold gloves or goggles or other stuff. Interior is large, easily hold your boots laying flat and all of your gear for a day or 2. Husqvarna is embroidered on the bag, not printed. The base of the bag is lined with a 1/8th piece of plywood so the bag it tough. It was made for lawn gear but works awesome as a gear bag!

Best part, 45 dollars:busted:

I got mine from here

Good find. It's amazing how prices for moto stuff are jacked way up to a comparable piece for another market. I bet they could put that bag in a moto catalog and charge twice the price. Funny thing is most of us would probably pay it. Bag sounds perfect in size, might have to order one also. Thanks for the heads up.

This is worth a double posting and sort of a Husqvarna criss-cross \ end run \ double reverse play ... I bet there are some tough pants out there also made by the same company ....

Apparently I double posted this thread somehow? Sorry about the double post!

I thought the same thing, you could EASILY sell these for 75 bucks on moto sites and guys would snag them up! For 45 bucks, definitely a good deal.

It's nothing short of brilliant! If only we all could shine this well each day and share it, Oh what a wonderful Husky world it would be be:banana:
