• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Atlas neck support customer service

My son's Atlas neck support that he has been riding and racing with since 2012 had the link cable in the back fray and break in two. I emailed Atlas and sent a picture asking how and where I could buy replacements parts. I got a return email stating that they were sending me a new one. I wasn't even asking for a free one. Minutes after getting the email I got a phone call from an Atlas rep confirming my mailing address and informing me it would be sent the next day. Can you believe the gall of those guys?

5 stars for Atlas customer service!

Jeeez how rude of them**************************************** They really caught you off guard**************************************** Good to hear Bizs that operate like that.

I had the same thing happen to my Atlas Air after only a few months and same great service. Love the brace, but I can see that cable as a weak point, constant flexing and it will fray again. Atlas confirmed to me that its a wear part. I cut the broken cable ends flush with the fittings they are crimped in. Next I cut a piece of high pressure EFI fuel line to proper length as it slips over those fittings and bottoms on the shoulders. A stainless PEX crimp clamp on each side and its a permanent fix. Can flex but will not break or pull off. The replacement cable is in a spares box. I think the point of that cable is to make it easy for the brace to be removed in an emergency after the front latch is released, in a way thats easy to deal with in production. The fuel line is no problem in this regard.

The cable also allows the left and right half of the brace to articulate when you move your shoulders independently which is a big reason why the Atlas is much more comfortable than other brands.
