• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Arai VX Pro - Goggles

I've been wearing an Arai VX Pro for the last 6 months or so and using Spy Targa goggles. LOVE the helmet, but the goggles seem to be pinching my nose a bit much so I'm looking to branch out. Anyone have a goggle suggestion that works well with the Arai's?

Targa is a large frame model. Have you tried the Spy Alloy model? It has a smaller frame. I use them, because I'm a sort of small person with correspondingly small head and face and I use a small helmet.:D

I run Pro Grip light sensitive and they hold up well. They do not pinch my nose and have the VX Pro. The only downside is not being able to buy tear offs or parts at most tracks as not many people sell this goggle.

I second the Pro Grip goggles for the Arai VX Pro.
I was running Scott xi's, but found them to be too wide and tall for the Arai.

When I had my Bell helmet, Scott goggles had too big of frame and would cause the same pinched nose as you describe. I bought Oakley googles and it solved the issue since their frame is smaller.

Fast forward... I bought a Arai VX pro recently and the same Oakley goggles work decent with it. Occassionally, I get a slight pinched nose feel but usually just adjust my goggles and everything is good to go again. Just for giggles, I put my Scott goggles on and it was definitely a no-go with the Arai helmet.

x3 on those. Got mine at Atomic Moto and LOVE them. I typically hate goggles (I wear safety glasses a lot) but really liked these.

Just pulled the trigger on a set of Oakley's so we'll see how it goes. Appreciate all the input. Will let ya know how it goes!
