• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Then call 'em up fer me and see if they ship to the States ! :busted:

according the web site yes, just click to add to cart and click view cart and check out you do have option to ship to the state for 29 euros. :D :busted:

I was having issues yesterday with that registering thingy. Yer right, they do ship here.

Yeh- $170.00 is kinda steep, like twice what it should be. I don't weld so....modifying an '08 or scratch building one are my options.

If anyone wants to go in on this and split the freight let me know and I'll order some up, if, they take VISA or MC over the web.

Great.

Tried to log back into their site and send a message. Now I'm locked out.

Figures.

Screw it. I'm making my own. 4mm allum plate, cut up some cardboard for a template, bend and take to my welder.
Mine will have full coverage for cl, wp, alt covers too....with super-trick lightening holes!

Gimme a couple of hours, BRB....

Here's another I found.

Says it fits 07-09 125's.

Moose makes one for an '08 so...

Looked at a bunch of pics of the '08 and '09 125 and the cases and frame lowers look pretty close.

I may just order a Moose from my local shop (that way if it aint even close I can send it back), see what needs to be done to make it fit, if anything, and if it looks doable I'll post some pics etc... stay tuned, the search for armor continues!

Pretty cool of him to respond so soon after getting back from Dakar.
This is an outstanding option instead of making/modifying one of your own....

Yeh- pricey, I know but... but it's the nicest plate I've seen, and's some functional bling for yer bike.
