• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Anyone going to SF Supercross 1/30/10?

Just noticed the cheap seats are $10. Maybe? It is supposed to be dry by then.

I heard that A2 seats were $35 to $75

$10 and I would have gone...

A lot of my buddies went to A2 and bought the $35 seats and moved down into the $75 seats due to the lack of people filling them.

Are you going?? :ride:

Dunno... for the first time in months I'm not scheduled to do anything. I might, depending on the weather.

I've got a hunch it will not be sold out, and changing seats might be a possibility.

Well I made up your mind for you.. Enjoy yourself and a beer as well.. Cheers..

P.S. I'm claiming it as a "Living Expense"..

I wondered who sent me that $! Thanks!

20+ years ago I knew someone with a similar name, for some reason thought it was him.

I suppose I should take the camera too... I'll call the stadium and ask if that is ok.

Sshhh! You're letting the cat out of the bag! :naughty:

Have fun, Dean! Eric and I have gone to a few SX's there. It's a great place to see a show! I'm looking forward to your pictures already. I should be able to count the riders nosehairs with that ginormous zoom lens you've got :)

Well that did not turn out so well.

6pm I decide to go on over, then needed fuel, then decided to get a bite to eat at a favorite Mexican place... which... was... slow. Celia's was restaurant, and I had the "Super Special", nice!

Then the bridge took some time, then spent time finding a place to park 1/2 mile away, then got to the ticket window at 9pm, still well before the main event - but their computers were shut off and tickets could not be bought. The bright side is they had stopped collecting $ for parking by then.

So I found a TV that could be seen from the street, a 'suite' entrance, watched the last part of the lites, and headed home.

I did get a decent meal, which was nice.

Sorry, no pics...
