• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Any sightings yet?

Nope, but I put money down on one. Hall's says they're waiting for them to ship from the warehouse. I should hear from him again in the next couple of days for an update.

One person put two nice photos over at SMJ and said the bike is "promising", I don’t think he’s from the states

:excuseme:

Good luck with it! We'll be eager to hear how you do with it.

Has anyone actually seen or ridden one of the 630s yet?

I believe MotoExotica in Vacaville has one now. I was at the shop yesterday and I saw a couple 2011 Dualsport bikes in their showroom.

EDIT nevermind. Found it after googling Husky dealers in oregon. You might wanna think about linking your website with your user name here. Might help potential customers :)

They do look sweeeeet. I can't wait for you guys to give us your own review of the bikes. They are so much more applicable and appropriate to what we do, want and need with the bikes. So who is going to lead off with their first ride impressions?

Bill is not a sponsor here so is treading lightly. I think he is working on his sponsorship. Great shop.

Test ride new te630

Went for test ride Te630 ,what a great bike, didnt run it hard roll the throttle front end starts lifting easy,Smoooth**************************************** er than the 610s lots smoother, shifts better, nice.!! They took a great bike and made it even better in every way.Still no comp adjuster on front forks.Just have to love everything about this new bike, includeing the new side stand thats even the correct length. But they moved the fuel pump to the back like all the dohc bikes.Hydaulic clutch works great!! billf

Awesome Bill, thanks for the info

they have more motor than the 610 for sure.they did a nice job with the seat, radiator shrouds and the gas tank.was surprised how smooth the motor pulls.when a Loe Vince can be had this bike will run crazy strong.would be a good Baja machine!dan

Spoke with the dudes from Tasky's today and they said the bike is improved in MANY areas and customers are going to be pretty happy. Seems lots of nice little touches abound. Very well thought out and upgraded.

The latest update from Hall's is that he expect to have them later this week. It'll take me a little while to get mine; it's being shipped from Hall's to Nebraska. I'm probably going to be the only one for miles on a Husky!

Thanks! It's a pretty big step into the unknown for me! I'm coming from years of sportbike riding and moving to DS riding on a bike that's all but non-existent around this area.

The first thing I have to do is figure out how to get that GIANT license plate holder off of there.

:D
