  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

250-500cc Another Lectron inquiry...

After reading the last few threads on here in regards to those Lectron carbs, I find myself very interested in purchasing one for my 2004 WR250. I'm very interested in the fact that it'll make the power transition smoother, as I find now the bike goes from lugging to extreme spinning from the power turning on like a light switch.

My question is: where would be the best supplier for me to order one from? I live in New Brunswick, Canada. Also, which model and bore should I go with? Any of u guys have an idea on what it'll cost me?

Are there any lectron owners out there that aren't pleased with results of there carb? And why? Thanx.

I rode a friends efi 2014 350 husky. I could barley tell difference after switching. No kidding it really makes your two stroke feel like an efi four stroke but of course you still get the benefits of a two stroke. Its that good. Totally changes how i look at cheap 10 yr old two strokes now.

Yup kellys ya man!, ships worldwide so canada should be fine, 250 probably 36mm anything bigger is going to be unnecessary / overkill.
There are a few people not happy with them im sure, but theyre probably the ones that already spent hundreds on jets and dont mind swaping them every race or location change.
I say go for it, you dont like it sell the carb on here sure it will get taken.
Good luck and keep us posted.

Thanx, but I may have one lined up for $250 shipped to my door that came off a 2010 WR300. I think it'll work out fine on my bike. But if the deal doesn't go down, I'll be sure to get in touch with u Kelly. Thanx. If u don't mind, can u PM me with a quote and info in regards to if I need a new/different throttle cable or not? Also, are there different models? Thanx.
