• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Jason Anderson Expected to Miss 6-8 Weeks

Rockstar Energy Husqvarna’s Jason Anderson is expected to miss multiple rounds of Lucas Oil Pro Motocross as he recovers from a broken collarbone and minor AC separation sustained in a practice crash earlier this week. This is the third big injury to hit the 450 class in as many weeks after Red Bull KTM’s Ryan Dungey (C-6 vertebrae) and Honda HRC’s Trey Canard (back) were previously sidelined due to injury.

According to the team, Anderson broke his collarbone in three different places. He will receive treatment this week and is expected to miss 6 to 8 weeks.

"I'm really bummed about this injury,” said Anderson in a statement. “I feel like I was building some momentum and last weekend's second was the best outdoor overall of my career. I feel pretty lucky however after one of the worst crashes of my life and not missing a race in six years. Sometimes these things happen. I can only stay positive and see how the recovery goes. I'm hoping to come back before the Nationals are over.”

Team manager Bobby Hewitt added: “Unfortunately, injuries are a part of our sport and you never want to see any rider on any team get hurt. Jason has spent his entire pro career with me and this is his first injury that will keep him out of competition in six years. Considering the severity of the crash we feel fortunate it is only the collar bone which will require surgery and a minor AC separation; that according to his doctors will heal on its own over the coming weeks.”

In his second 450 season, Anderson has been one of the most consistent riders in the class, scoring four moto podiums on the season. Only points leader Ken Roczen (7) and the injured Dungey (5) have more. He is currently fifth in points through four rounds.
