• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

And the crashing begins...

Beat me to it...His team blamed it on someone being on the track, yet he had already landed and gone another 50 feet before going down...

Who put the Yamaha front end on Buba's bike, or was it that darn tire one more time. Thank god he has never raced off-road with things like trees, rocks, animals, logs, and people that might distract him from riding his dirt bike. Will he man up, "to be or not to be that is the question."

alot of arm chair anti js7 goin down .. he is going faster on a mx track than probably anyone in the world today. No one except a very small percentage of MX stars have any idea where your head is on the edge of disaster envelope pushing, expecting and visualizing every turn on the track, he comes over a hill and boom arenalin shot a guy in the middle of the track, fight or flight jump of the nervous system. Like a deer jumping out in front of you doing 60mph. auto control change lines, Throw off your focus for more than a few seconds absolutly. No one has a case against him on this issue, as far as Im concerned. That was a stupid track incident that should not have happened. I had to comment on this.

The amazing thing to me is it is only news if Bubba crashes or if someone can call Dungey slow or too nice. After searching this site and pages and pages of ktm talk, I had to do a google search to find out who won.
I hope bubba heals up by the next race because Dungey is about to hit his stride.

I agree 100%...also TV is much different than being there. In person that guy running across the track was a lot closer than he looked on the gopro...like the mirror on the car..."objects are closer than they appear"

If you look at the new video footage on motocrossactionmag.com you get a bit more perspective. It looks like that is why he crashed. I am a bit bummed JS did not try and finish the moto for some points.

It is also a shame the AMA has no way of correcting this. Good thing it did not happen on the final race of the season with the title on the line.

JS

It looked to me JS was well clear of the guy crossing the track and he just lost the front in the slippery ruts.

Hope he is back soon. Love him or hate him it will be a boring championship if there is nobody to challenge Dungey.

Stewart starts to lose it right after he lands, it sorta straightens out for a sec and then he loses it in the corner ruts. It seems pretty obvious that the dude on the track drew his attention at a critical moment. While the interloper wasn't in danger of being hit, it appears he was the cause of the accident.

Man I can't tell how much of the guy he could see and no way of telling if that "caused" him to crash or not. I'm a RD fan but don't want to see him win that way. I bet it won't happen again though. Hope he mends up quick and gets back at it. I'm all for let the fastest guy win withut any excuses.

Looking at it again and again it looks like his back stepped out, he pulled the front, ran it the rutt and just lost it. At his speed stuff happens; who knows.

Yep who knows? But if this small incident caused him to crash, maybe he can't keep his mind on what he is doing and this shows why he has crashed so much in his career ... Looks like an easy-out for him to say it was not his fault when he had plenty of time to land correctly and get back on the gas ....

I gotta say it again ... Stew can do it all without even trying ...

I don't think it is a big deal that he crashed man on the track or not, riders fall all the time. What surprised me was he did not appear to be hurt and he made no attempt to rejoin the race. Has anybody heard if he broke anything?

Watch the replay again ... The first thing he does after the crash is look at his right wrist ... It's toast again maybe ... Stew is one tough guy if nothing else ...anyway possible, he rides again this weekend...

These guys are all tight-lipped on injuries ... You'd think someone was betting on them or something ...
