  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

125-200cc amsoil

Dominator burns at a bit higher temps than interceptor, so it's not as clean (more spooge) BUT it has the red dye, so you can know 100% if your gas is mixed. I honestly don't see a difference between the two in cleanliness of the powervalve.

Plus, red gas in the clear float bowl of a Lectron looks sexy.

This Will be my first time use of it. so.i was just wondering. Im going to stick with 33-1 that is manufacture recommended abduction jet accordingly if need be.

No need to wait on silencer packing. You'll notice fresh packing more than you will different pre-mix. Most high quality oils these days, are well...high quality. You'll notice the red dye in the dominator immediately...or if you switch to the interceptor, then you'll eventually clean out the engine and notice there's noticeably less carbon and gunk buildup in the power valves than lower quality oil, but it will take quite a few hours of running before you'd notice.

I have run both types of Amsoil. I really like Amsoil. dont notice much difference between the two other than the dominator is colored so you can see it. Run about the same.

pretty much anything with the amsoil label is a good product...i like using their 10w30 moto engine oil is my 2 stroke trannies..

i would use their premix as well because it is very good (tons of snow guys use it) but i have always liked the smell of klotz so i have ran it a long time with good wear performance..if i couldnt i would definitely use interceptor..its very clean

I have been running Interceptor 50-1 with great results. I went to the local Snowmobile shop and they have Dominator on the shelf. He said Dominator would run better and not stick the power valves like Interceptor. I have not noticed sticky power valves. Not sure if he if full if it or what but has been in the Snowmobile business and a Amsoil dealer for over 20 years. He was really against Interceptor.

Every motor I have pulled apart with interceptor in it is clean and free.

I switched from Motul 800 super sticky messy to Amsoil Interceptor. Much cleaner, smells better. I have been mixing 44:1 'just to be sure' but I think I'll ease back to 50:1.
