• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Ryan Dungey wins 450 class. The 350 KTM couldn't hang in this race.

Dungey made up a lot of ground in the 2nd Moto.

250's are running right now, but only the 2nd Moto in the 450's was on NBC live.

Please put the word SPOILER or "race results" in the subject - I've been out riding all day and hadn't watched the race yet on my DVR. I guess I'll watch it anyway but the excitement is now lost. :banghead:

Here is a picture of Chad Reed from the last race. Do you see what is wrong with this picture?

No, a guy from the MX club I belong to did. I guess Reed's mechanic snipped the line off, but still finished 33rd in the moto.

He quit

Yes, he pulled off the track and quit ... No effort to continue really and winning any points did not matter to him ... RD is handing him his a$$ so he knows he ain't winning so he quit ... I think he is still fast but over the hill ... Only gonna another championship if all other get injured as in the past....

Wow. So do you think he should have continued with no front brakes?

And don't you think RD won his SX championship with all of his competition out hurt?

Give CR some credit - he's still one of the fastest out there.

Is cr a PRO rider trying to win a championship? ... Other PROs in the past have kept going when the bike might have had issues. RC for one. cr quit. I hate seeing it also but he quit.

cr has never beaten his peers in a season long battle ... RC or JS7... RD is just starting ... He single handedly is putting cr in the back seat ... And cr is actually going along with it ...

He's still fast but over the hill ... These young guys aren't gonna lay down for him and that is his only chance ....

My point was I don't blame him for pulling off. He wouldn't have finished in the points so why stay out there and possibly get hurt trying to ride with no front brake?

And yes RD is extremely talented and a good person. It does seem that when he is close in points to a Pro Circuit rider his oponents bikes seems to have issues.... Did anyone see RD in the pits holding a pair of wire cutters?

Could you have imagined what would have happened if the caliper went in the front wheel.
I wonder what that repair is worth ?
