• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Husqvarna
Pro Class
There were over 100 teams lined up for the mass start of the 120 mile
desert night race.Saw a few Huskys out there here are a few unofficial
overall results
1 Justin Imhof ironmaned it on a KTM 250 2 stroke
2 Kendal Norman /Johnny Cambell Team Honda Factory 450x
3 Barbec /Vanderberg Honda 450x
4 Nic Burson/ Matt Henderson Factory HUSKY 510
5 Brent Farrell/Charlie McBerney HUSKY WR 250

12th overall at least that is what they told us
Cameron Kearney/John Kearney HUSKY CR 125
I teamed up with my 19 year old son so i had to race with the kids in the regular 125 expert class. It was a mass start lemans style every one had to run to there bikes and take off all together. The kids gets a great start 5th to the bomb and at the first rider change he brings the little 125 to me in 5th overall.Wow no pressure there knowing i was the weak link .Anyway we raced all night and switched riders every lap
The bike and the lights worked great and we finished about 1.30 am
We were told we got 3 rd in the 125 expert class first 2 were KTMs 200
But to be told 12th overall was just super

53 and still having fun you should have seen my face when the kid shows up running 5th overall.I was not ready still did not have my helmet on .Remember this is from a bike that most people told me could not power up night racing lights.I also just purchased a Wr 250 so if both kids want to race they will not be in the same class. The older boy is still leading in the AMA National Hare and Hounds 125 expert class
Next year you really need to try these night races ,your bike already has a big stator output so all you need is lights

I'm always glad to see racers over 50 still mixing it up good! I wish that I were able to be one of them, but I let a little too much time go by without competing or staying in shape, so my hat's off to you.:applause:

Update New results just posted and we are now listed as 10th overall
There were 86 teams that started and ONLY 35 that finished .What more can you say other then the Husky 125 is a great bike and in the last 4 years i have never had a DNF
Special thanks to my young team mate as this is my best ever overall at a desert race
