• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Ouch! I get sore just looking at somebody else crashing.

I still cant figure out how he ended up conveniently sitting on that ledge....

Notice it was like charades when I tried to ask if he was ok......can you move everything Jon..?? his head just goes up and down....any bones broke Jon?....his head goes back and forth :excuseme:

after.....he rode for back through all that like nothing ever happened:cheers:

Poor kid! He seems like a trooper, though.

That sure is an interesting place to ride. I totally dig the terrain

When I was a kid I had a ramp in the backyard that was set up like a teeter totter (it had a pivot)....I'd go like smoke and jump off it with my XR 75...then turn around and hit it going the other way.....the kids in the neighborhood though I was cool....

then my mom flew out the back door...and scattered everyone :p

then she would say the classic line "thats the last time I wanna catch you doing that"

Hmmm..I thought...that sounds pretty good to me

Stupid move of the month!

Hey, I just took a big high speed header Labor day, so I feel his pain. I didn't have a CP on when I did it. VERY stupid move. :busted:

I got busted up pretty good but the bike was fine. :applause: That's the important part.

Sucks to have a brand new bike and be too busted up to ride it. :banghead:
