ALEX LUPINO INTERNATIONAL ITALIAN MOTOCROSS CHAMPION WITH HUSQVARNA
Alex Lupino has won the International Italian Motocross Championship thanks to a second place finish in the final race of the competition held in Odolo.
With the TC250 of the Husqvarna Motocross Racing Team by Ricci, Lupino who has set the fastest time in the timed practice stage, took an immediate lead in the final race. Only Petrov was able to overtake Lupino who wasn’t prepared to take any unnecessary risks.
‘I’m really happy to have rewarded the team with this title. I competed well without taking too many risks, and controlled the race. Next Monday I’m off to Belgium to train on the sand in preparation for the World Championships.’
Bad luck for Nick Triest that crashed in the superfinal (MX1+MX2) and injured his left shoulder.
