• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

AHRMA MA Region XC Series

Richard Colahan

Husqvarna
AA Class
The Mid-Atlantic Region XC Series kicks off this Sunday, 4/9 at the Rocket Raceway near Three Springs PA.
One of the best vintage-friendly courses of the year...rest assured that the MX track is NOT part of the course.
Rocket XC is some of the best woods riding there is...perfect for Huskys!
The weather looks good...not too far for either us eastern PA and NJ folks, nor for the western PA and Ohio riders.

Round 1 of a 10 race series.

I hope to be there. Trying to arrive Saturday afternoon to camp and rest.

Was hoping to bring my 1971 Suzuki TS250 to race in the vintage race, and then the 83 Husky for the post-vintage, but the Suzuki won't be ready.

My first race.

What does "plus a lap on the leader" mean?

I think it's once the time is met, what ever the length of the event is, when the leader comes thru the barrels the white flag is given for 1 more lap. Once he gets the checkered flag everyone that comes in behind him gets the checker no mater how many laps they have made.

Depending on where the leader is at the 1 hour mark...and where you are relative to the leader...it usually works out to be an hour and 10...maybe 15 minutes.

What I want to ride like this weekend...

If I make it I'll be in a white Land Rover Discovery with a blue trailer.

The truck is being wonky right now so hope I can get it dialed in tomorrow.

Peanutbutter n jelly sandwiches good fuel.
Chocolate bars
