• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Any one ever check with Woodys Wheel Works?

http://www.woodyswheelworks.com/

Woody has been at the MC game for a long time and he and his crew have extensive knowledge in these areas. I'm pretty sure the KTM and BMW RAD hubs are things he designed and made then sold to them.........

So am I correct in thinking that when my alpinas get here for the smr I won't be able to run a beringer disc as they don't come with the 5mm offset on the disc that I need?

i dont know the Beringer setup but on my org caliber i had to get new wheel spacer, new disk spacer and an offset disk to get it to work!!

He had a motomaster flame rotor at one stage. Londin, have you thought about getting the spacer and rotor from a '09/10 SMR to see how they bolt up?

I had this issue a number of years back when I ordered rims and a set of hubs (RADD) the rear fit, but the front was a pain. I think when the aftermarket builds these things, they use the dirt models for info as the tech support was poor. I ended up having to locate an non current new replacement from a SM supplier to get the front to fit properly (can't remember whom anymore, but they have since shut down the business as I got one of the last remaining stock).
Good luck.

Beringer now do a 320mm ductile iron rotor so I ordered one of those to sort out the rotor issue. Just need a 10mm rotor spacer and the wheel should fit properly.
Thinking of a bolt on spacer where the space bolts to the original rotor holes and then the spacer has its own threaded holes for the rotor to bolt to. That way the spacer isn't just sandwiched between the hub and the rotor like a giant washer.

I'll try to take some photos over the weekend of my setup
