  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Aftermarket exhaust 2009 TE450

A Class
Have searched the forums and haven't found much. I'm looking at getting a performance slip on for my 2009 TE 450, but haven't found much that is reasonably affordable and doesn't require any modifications. Any suggestions???

FMF has 3 models for that bike I believe. They are probably the most affordable...

What are you trying to gain?

Sound, performance, weight loss? I run the stock Arrow system with the Cat slid out... and don't think there is a affordable option that would give me any significant performance or weight loss. With the right Insert- you can get the DB in an acceptable range as well.

Trying to gain a little more power. Where is a good place to pick up a different insert?

does anyone have pictures of what the stock insert looks like? i bought my '10 te-250 used, and i think it is pretty loud, and i am pretty sure it does not have the stock insert in there. the PO gave me a box with extra parts, and there is a tip in there that is very short, so i assume that will be louder. Did the bike come stock with 2 or 3 inserts?

I've read this before...it sounds like I should have recieved some extra parts with my bike. The upgrades were put on. But I didnt get the parts that came with it.

For the 09 the extra parts were the enduro tail light assy, 02 sensor plug, 02 sensor wire plug and hand guards. I don't believe that it came with anything else.

Darn, got jipped on my hand guards. My brother bought a TE 310 and they were on his. Looks like I need to call the dealer!
