    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Aftermarket Bar Mounts - What works?

Hello,
Curious as to if anyone knows if there are any aftermarket bar mounts that will fit with the stock top triple clamp? I know FBF makes them for the Husqvarna's and so does BRP, but I am curious if the Sunline, Applied, Tag, Pro Circuit, Easton, etc. I guess the question that also needs asked then is for what model within these brands will fit (CRF, YZF, RMZ, etc.). Just curious. Thanks!

ive got 7/8 bars on mine and the protapers fit great and they are still straight after a years worth of abuse.
 
Does anyone know if another model complete separate top triple clamp will work? I am curious, and thought I had read somewhere (maybe here or TT), if an RG3 top triple clamp and bar mounts off another model (CRF or YZF maybe) would fit? Thanks.
 
I have these and love them. Great fit and look bahhhlingggy.

Umm...their web setup won't take you to the exact page...just go to Product Overview and look for oversized clamps.

Huh? If you remove the sleeve you crush the rubber and not only will the vib damping of the rubber stop working but the bolt might work loose periodically or in a crash. (Ask me how i know this stuff :D) IMHO you need to completely remove the rubber and go hard mount hardware or keep the sleeve.
 
I put some stock CRF bar mounts on and they fit the rubber bushings perfect with the inner sleeve out. But, the bolts are too long and they won't fit thru the stock bushing covers or the stock spacers. Decided to go another route for now.
I prefer the 7/8 bars and will keep looking for something that'll work well.
 
if you go with BRP make sure they send you the bolts that are long enough. They are well made and strong, but did not send a longer bolt to account for the added 3/4 inch height.
 
I have a new set of risers my mate gave me unused.. Bolts are too thick so didnt fit them but also, had a special type head that recesses inside them so couldnt fit even if i wanted...well, without modification ...THEY ARE RHK MAKE !
